With all of the changes going in our life I figured it was time to shake up our curriculum as well. Actually I am going back to our roots. In 10 days the boys and I will be starting Adventures in US History by mfwbooks.com. We started out using My Father's World 7 years ago. After trying many, many things we are going back or shall I say running back to what works for us. The kids are really excited and so am I.
Our family was so blessed this last year with our little miracle baby, Mia. It has caused me to really stop and evaluate what is most important in my life. So often we get busy with the things that don't matter and lose sight of what truly does. So I am simplifying my life as best as I can to spend time with my kiddos and hubby.
Speaking of family time, the kids had such a blast hanging out at the Brost Compound yesterday. A sweet niece gave ride after ride in the gocart while their favorite uncle gave them dump truck rides. The kids were thrilled to scoop dirt. Too bad scooping Pug doo-doo can't be as fun. ha It was a great time. All the kids went to bed with smiling little faces. I think a certain uncle might have too.
